Term	Definition
gametophyte	In mosses, the green, leafy portion of the plant. See also sporophyte.
gemmae	In liverworts, disk-shaped bodies serving in reproduction.
genus	A group of closely related species (plural: genera).
glume	One of a pair of bracts at the base of a grass spikelet.
