Description
This moth has a wingspan of about 1 1/2 inches. It is light brown with two darker bands. It is very similar to the Clover Looper (Caenurgia crassiuscula). The volunteer experts at BugGuide helped to identify this specimen.

Occurrence
This moth is common and is found coast-to-coast. This species flies by day and night and is attracted to light. It can be seen from March through November. It feeds on a variety of grasses and clover.
