The organization of the birds has been combined and simplified in order to help get to the species page in as few clicks as possible. Therefore we have taken some liberty in combining certain groups.

Waterfowl includes Ducks, Geese, Pelican, Cormorant, Coot, and Grebes. Wading Birds includes, Herons, Egrets, Shorebirds, and Rails. Birds of Prey includes Hawks, Falcons, Owls, Eagles, Harrier, Vulture, Osprey, and Accipiters. Tree Climbing Birds includes Woodpeckers, Nuthatches, and Creeper. Swallow-like Birds includes Swallows, Swift, and Nighthawk. Large Perching Birds includes Cuckoos, Meadowlarks, Kingfisher, Doves, Crow, and Jay. Medium Perching Birds includes Blackbirds, Tanagers, Mimics (Catbird, Thrasher and Mockingbird), Thrushes, Orioles, Grosbeaks, and Waxwings and Shrikes Other Perching Birds includes Warblers, Flycatchers,Sparrowlike Birds, Vireos, Wrens, and Other Small Birds. Other Birds includes Gulls. Large Land Birds includes Upland Game Birds.
