LONG HORNED BEETLES FAMILY (Cerambycidae)


Description
This beetle belongs to the subfamily cerambycinae (round necked longhorns) which have protruding faces and lack spines on the thorax. There is a rounded pronotum which is widest at about the middle. Beetles of this genus vary from ½ to ¾ inch long. This beetle is yellow with horizontal black stripes.

Occurrence
Members of this genus are found mostly in the eastern and central U.S. Its occurrence in Fontenelle Forest is not known.
