WOODLOUSE

Trachelipus rathkii

 (Trachelipodidae)

Description
These woodlice are very difficult to identify to species. These were identified with the help of a volunteer expert at BugGuide, Ferenc Vilisics.

Occurrence
Woodlice are not seen that often unless one lifts rocks or dead wood, or unless it has recently rained. They usually feed at night. For those reasons these woodlice are not seen that often in our two nature centers, although they are no doubt abundant.
